A strange case of religious conversion has come to light from Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh. A 17-year-old boy from the Jain family was brainwashed through an online gaming app. Then he started going to the Masjid to offer Namaz 5 times. When the family came to know about this, he confessed to becoming a Muslim after being influenced by fugitive fundamentalist Zakir Naik. The victim’s father has registered a case at Ghaziabad’s Kavi Nagar police station on charges of brainwashing and trying to convert his son.
According to media reports, the victim’s family lives in Rajnagar of Kavi Nagar police station area. According to the victim’s father, his minor son used to go out of the house 5 times on the pretext of going to the gym. On being suspicious, when he followed, it was found that he goes to the mosque every time and offers Namaz. On this, when he talked to his son, he talked about adopting Islam and told it better than other religions.
When he checked his son’s mobile and laptop, he found many material related to Islam. Some of it is even illegal. During this, he came to know that through an online gaming app, his son had befriended a person named Baddo, a resident of Mumbai. His son also bought computer parts from Baddo. Since then their friendship grew. The victim has said that his son used to talk to Baddo for several hours. Apart from this, many other suspicious numbers have also been found in his phone.
The victim has said that his son is not sensible yet. He has been brainwashed and included in Islamic activities. Now he is talking about leaving the house and living with the Imam of the mosque. He has also said that his son goes to the mosque located in Sector-23 of Sanjay Nagar to offer Namaz, the people there may also be involved in this conversion racket. Not only this, he has also expressed apprehension of his son being involved in anti-national activities.

In this whole case, Kavinagar ACP Abhishek Srivastava has said that on the basis of the complaint of the victim’s father, a case has been registered against the Imam of the Sanjay Nagar Sector-23 mosque and Baddo, a resident of Mumbai. Further action is being taken after investigating the matter.
