Chief Ministers of many states including Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann have refused to attend this meeting. CM Mann has written a letter to NITI Aayog stating that no work has been done on any of the things discussed in the previous meeting of NITI Aayog, he cannot attend this meeting only for a photo session.
‘Centre did not take care of the interests of Punjab’
In the letter written by CM Mann to NITI Aayog, it has been said that in the meeting of NITI Aayog, many issues were raised regarding the finances of Punjab. Solve them first then they can participate in the meeting. Expressing displeasure in the letter, CM Mann has written that the central government is not taking care of the interests of Punjab, no attention is being paid to the issues related to the farmers.
NITI Aayog meeting to be held on May 27
Let us tell you that the meeting of NITI Aayog is going to be held on 27th May. The Prime Minister of the country Narendra Modi is going to preside over this eighth meeting of NITI Aayog. In this meeting of NITI Aayog, many issues including infrastructure development, health, skill development and women empowerment are to be discussed with the aim of making the country a developed country by the year 2047. The meeting of NITI Aayog is attended by the Chief Ministers of all the states of the country, the Lieutenant Governors of the Union Territories and the Union Ministers. This time the Chief Ministers of many opposition parties have refused to attend the NITI Aayog meeting. In which CM Bhagwant Mann, Himachal CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel and Ashok Gehlot and other Chief Ministers are included.
