Ranchi. When the teenagers who wandered on the path of crime at an early age were given the right guidance, they did wonders. One and a half dozen teenagers living in communication homes in Gumla, Lohardaga and Palamu districts of Jharkhand have achieved amazing success in the matriculation examination. Some of them have achieved first division. The children who are successful in the examination are now dreaming of becoming doctor-engineers and government services after getting educated. Jharkhand Matric Board exam result has been released two days back.
The best performance has been given by the juveniles lodged in the Child Communication Home located in Gumla district. Here nine have got success in the first division. Some have scored up to 70 per cent marks. Superintendent of Gumla Observation Home, Avinash Giri said that all the teenagers have studied in the Observation Home only. For this, teachers were deputed.
Deputy Commissioner Sushant Gaurav, Deputy Development Commissioner Hemant Sati, District Social Welfare Officer Sita Pushpa themselves took interest in the arrangements for the education of the children. These children took the exam in police custody. He told that this time a total of 33 teenagers have given the exam from 8th to 12th. Rest of the results are yet to come. According to the teachers, better results are also being expected from them. They will be rewarded after the results of all the examinations are out. Half a dozen teenagers living in the observation homes of Lohardaga and Palamu have also got success in the examination. Their families are also happy with the success of these children.
