Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has taken an initiative for the development of the people of Koliwada and to promote their food culture. Delicious fish dishes made by the women of Mumbai’s Koliwada will be available to Mumbaikars through the ‘Food on Wheels’ scheme. Women self-help groups will get Food on Wheels vehicle from the Municipal Corporation. This initiative of BMC will help in generating employment at the local level.
The beautification work of Koliwada area is underway under the guidance of BMC Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal and Additional Commissioner (City) Ashish Sharma.
