Dev Anand had a misunderstanding – Zeenat Aman
Zeenat Aman recently told through Insta post that Dev Anand had a misunderstanding. Please tell that Devanand wrote his autobiography in 2007. In which he also wrote about the relationship between Zeenat Aman and Raj Kapoor. Zeenat was deeply hurt by this.
Dev Sahab had launched – Zeenat Aman
Sharing a picture with Dev Anand, Zeenat Aman wrote, ‘Whenever I look back at my Bollywood career, I understand that it was the golden era of Dilip Kumar, Raj Kapoor and Dev Anand. These stars showed the way to Hindi cinema. Dev sahib had already launched me. Now I was moving forward in my career. After a few years, I appeared in some films without him.
Dev Sahab was understanding things wrongly – Zeenat Aman
Zeenat Aman further wrote, ‘Raj Kapoor’s film ‘Bobby’, which came in the year 1973, proved to be a blockbuster. I already knew Doctor Sahab and had been a part of films like ‘Gopichand Jasoos’ and ‘Vakeel Babu’ with him. I wanted to work with him and wanted to be a part of RK banner. Everyone knows about how I got Raj Sahab’s ‘Satyam Shivam Sundaram’ film. I wanted to work hard for this film and wanted to unite my life, but I was not aware that Dev Sahab is understanding these things wrongly.
Zeenat was hurt by Dev Anand’s words
Zeenat further wrote about Dev Anand, ‘I was surprised to know that Dev Anand had told in his autobiography, Romancing with Life, that he loved me and did not like my closeness with Raj Saheb. I was feeling humiliated and panicked. Dev Saheb, whom I respected so much, considered him as my mentor, he not only said such things about me, but also published it for the world. For several weeks, I used to get calls from people about this and they used to ask what happened.
Zeenat Aman will be grateful to Dev Anand
Zeenat wrote, ‘I never read that book of Dev Sahib and in anger kept that copy in the store. This was a big misunderstanding. I was very embarrassed by this. I didn’t talk about it anywhere for many years, but now I have got the right platform and time to express my views. It is natural for humans to make mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes. I will always remember Dev sahib as a man of rare talent. I am forever grateful to him.
