Udaipur. Udaipur, the lake city of Rajasthan, is winning titles one after the other. For the fourth time in 27 days this month, Udaipur city has been included in its list by International Travel Magazine. Now business magazine Forbes Advisor has named Udaipur as one of the eight best places to visit in India in April.
Udaipur Tourism Department official Shikha Saxena said, “Udaipur’s name appearing in the portal shows that tourism is continuously growing in the southern region.” Also said that till now the Golden Triangle of Jaipur, Agra and Delhi was in trend. Now there is a possibility of becoming a new tourism triangle by joining Udaipur, Vagad and Hadauti region. Now business tourism has to be promoted in Udaipur. The name coming in the summer list indicates that new business investment is expected during this period.
Udaipur is the only city selected from Rajasthan by Forbes Advisor. In this list, Spiti Valley of Ladakh is at number one and Lonavala of Maharashtra is at number three. The magazine has also given road, air and rail routes for tourists to reach Udaipur in the blog. Apart from Spiti Valley, Lonavla and Udaipur, Ooty, Araku Valley, Andhra Kausani, Lakshadweep Wayanad are included in this list.
On April 4, the travel portal Travel Triangle released the names of destinations for outings in Rajasthan in May. In these, Fateh Sagar and Lake Pichola from Udaipur were placed at the second and third places. On April 20, the international business magazine Forbes included the name of Udaipur in the world’s 23 best places to visit in the year 2023. After this, on April 24, travel portal The Planet ranked Udaipur fourth among 17 romantic cities in the world.
Forbes Advisor has written in the blog that Udaipur is the capital of a former royal kingdom, which is known for its rich cultural heritage. The lakes give it the name ‘City of Lakes’. Udaipur is considered one of the most romantic cities in the country due to its beauty, grandeur and quirkiness.
Forbes Advisor has also listed major places to visit in Udaipur. City Palace, Sajjangarh Palace, Pichola Lake, Fatehsagar, Udaysagar, Swaroop Sagar, Rangsagar, Dudhtalai, Karni Mata Temple, Eklingji Temple, Ranakpur Temple and Kesariaji Temple are mentioned in these. Apart from this, trekking and wildlife sighting can be done in the hills of Kumbhalgarh and Sajjangarh Century, Aravalli.
