Hitting out at the producers of the film ‘The Kerala Story’, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Sunday (April 30) said that by raising the issue of ‘love jihad’ through this film, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is making the state a center of religious extremism. propagating the agenda of the Sangh Parivar to be projected as Vijayan said that the subject like ‘Love Jihad’ has been rejected by the courts, investigative agencies and even the Union Home Ministry.

The Chief Minister said that this issue is being raised mainly through the film to humiliate Kerala in front of the world. Vijayan said in a statement that such propaganda films and the alienation of Muslims shown in them should be seen in the context of the Sangh Parivar’s efforts to gain political mileage in Kerala.
He also accused the Sangh Parivar of trying to destroy religious harmony in the state by “sowing the poisonous seed of communalism”. Vijayan alleged that since the Sangh Parivar’s divisive politics was not working in Kerala as it did elsewhere, it was trying to spread it through a film based on “fake stories”. This film is not based on any facts or evidence.
Vijayan said, “In the trailer of the film, we saw that 32,000 women in Kerala were converted and made members of the Islamic State. This fake story is a product of the factory of lies of the Sangh Parivar.
Vijayan warned of legal action
“This is not a license to spread lies and communalism and divide people in the state,” he said. A few days back, the ruling Marxist Communist Party (NCP) in the state and the opposition Congress hit out at the controversial film ‘The Kerala Story’, saying that the right to freedom of expression is not a license to spew venom at the society and that the film is against the state. The Congress urged the government not to allow the screening of the controversial film as it aims to create ‘communal division in the society through false claims’.
