The Fact India: After 10 years, the court acquitted Sooraj Pancholi in the case of suicide of Bollywood actress Jiah Khan. The special CBI court on Friday gave its verdict in the Jia Khan suicide case. While giving the verdict, the court said that the evidence against you is not enough, so it is acquitted. Sooraj Pancholi was present in the special CBI courtroom at the time of the verdict. Suraj was accused of abetting Jiah Khan to commit suicide. Sooraj is the son of actors Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab.
Let us tell you that on June 3, 2013, actress Jia Khan committed suicide in her Mumbai flat. Actor boyfriend Sooraj Pancholi was arrested on the complaint of Jiah’s mother. Later bail was granted. After Jia’s suicide, the police reached the flat and found a six-page suicide note. It was written in the suicide note that Jia was very upset because of the deteriorating relationship with Sooraj. After this Jiah’s mother Rabia Khan filed a case against Sooraj. In the investigation, it was also revealed that Jia was pregnant.
After the decision of the special court of CBI, Jia Khan’s mother Rabia Khan said that the CBI has not done its work properly. This decision has come in the absence of evidence. I haven’t given up yet. Final justice has not happened yet. Rabia said that the question still remains on how my daughter died. I had said then also and am saying even today that this is a case of murder. I will now knock the door of the High Court.
Suraj Pancholi reached the court at 10.30 am on Friday. Suraj was accompanied by his mother Zarina Wahab. Sooraj’s father Aditya Pancholi was nowhere to be seen. The court had fixed 10.30 am to pronounce the verdict. But the hearing was adjourned for two hours as Jiah’s mother Rabia submitted some arguments. At 12.30 pm the court gave its verdict. After being acquitted, Sooraj wrote on social media that truth always wins. No one is greater than God.
