Czech Republic’s car maker company Skoda Auto has also shared its future plans. Under this, by 2026, 6 new electric cars will be launched in the Indian market. The company will launch the new generation model of Superb and Kodiaq included in its lineup at the end of the year.
Skoda has released silhouette images of both the cars at its ‘Let’s Explore’ event. In this, some updates made in both the flagship models of the company have been revealed. Both the models flaunt sleek LED headlights and sleek exterior LED taillamps. The company has also given information about the powertrain options available in both the cars.
New generation models of Superb and Kodiaq will come in 2023
Skoda will also offer petrol, diesel, mild and plug-in hybrid versions of both the cars. These new generation models of Superb and Kodiaq can be launched in India by the end of 2023. Skoda has informed that the interior of both these cars has been redesigned.
In such a situation, it can be expected that their cabin will be more premium, in which more features and technology will be introduced. This fourth generation model of Superb will be made at Volkswagen Group’s plant in Bratislava, Slovakia. Whereas, there will be a second generation model of the Kodiaq, which will be built at the Skoda plant in the Czech Republic. Both the cars will be imported in India.

The company has also announced the launch of 4 new pure electric cars in the plan, which will come by 2026. It ranges from a 4.1 meter small SUV to a compact SUV, a combi wagon and a 4.9 meter length MPV. The remaining two will be updated models of the Enyak and the Enyak Coupe. Enyaq IV can be launched soon in the Indian market as a premium imported electric car, which will compete with Hyundai Ionik 5 and Kia EV6.
Skoda new electric vehicles will be of 4 types
Compact: In 2024, a car coming in the compact segment will be brought in as a replacement for the Karoq. It has been named Elrock. The car will measure around 4.50 meters in length and will come with luxurious interiors. Small: The upcoming small segment car in 2025 will be based on the MQB AO platform. Its length will be 4.2 meters, while it will also be Skoda’s entry level EV car. Its price can be 22 lakh rupees. Combi: In 2026 Combi will be an electric sedan car of the size of Octavia. This approximately 4.70 meter long model will be the brand’s first all-electric estate car. Space: Coming in 2026, this car will be the production version of the Vision 7S SUV concept. This car will be about 4.90 meters long.
EV prices will be around Rs 22.5 lakh
Skoda Auto’s Global CEO Klaus Gelmer said the brand plans to enter the affordable segment of the global market by 2025 with a target price of 25,000 euros (roughly Rs. 22.5 lakh).
