Stock market closed with a boom

The stock markets once again closed with a high today. The Sensex closed at 60300, up 169 points, while the Nifty closed at 17813, up 44 points. In Nifty, shares of POWERGRID, TATACONSUM, NESTLEIND, INDUSINDBK, SBILIFE rose and HINDALCO, BAJAJ-AUTO, BAJAJFINSV, NTPC closed down.

Earlier in the morning, due to the withdrawal of foreign capital and weak trend in the American markets, Sensex, Nifty were broken in the early trade. Weakness in biggies like Reliance Industries and ICICI Bank also weighed on the indices.
Meanwhile, the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 54.08 points at 60,076.63 points in early trade. At the same time, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange was trading at 17,745.25 points, falling 24 points. On the Sensex, Tata Steel, State Bank of India, Reliance Industries, Bajaj Finserv, NTPC, Kotak Mahindra Bank, ITC, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank and HDFC Bank were among the losers. On the other hand, Power Grid, IndusInd Bank, Larsen & Toubro, Tata Consultancy Services, Tata Motors and Nestle were trading with gains.
