Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has been accused of sexual harassment by female wrestlers. At the same time, they are protesting for action against them. Amidst all this, the saints of Ayodhya, Brij Bhushan have come in support of Sharan Singh. Saints say that if needed, they will travel to Delhi and protest.
According to media reports, a large number of sages and saints from Ayodhya reached Gonda. Here he announced the support of Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. Saints have said that the wrestlers are protesting under the conspiracy of the opposition. If their dharna continues like this, the saints will be forced to march to Delhi. Not only this, the saints have said that they will go to Delhi and protest in Jantar Mantar in support of Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.
Meanwhile, Mahant Balram Das of Ayodhya’s Hanuman Garhi has said that Brijbhushan Sharan Singh has been accused under a well-planned conspiracy. The allegations against him are false. The accusers did not even spare Lord Shri Ram and Mother Sita. In any case, the problem is not solved by protesting, the truth will come out only through investigation. People of political parties are being called in the dharna. This proves that the allegations are politically motivated.

In fact, wrestlers have accused Indian Wrestling Association President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh of sexual harassment and mental harassment in many ways. Wrestlers are staging a sit-in at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar ground regarding these allegations. Based on the allegations of wrestlers, 2 FIRs have also been registered against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. In one of these FIRs sections of the POSCO Act have also been invoked. However, even after the FIR, the wrestler is not ready to end the strike. They are demanding the arrest of Brij Bhushan.
WFI President and BJP MP from Gonda Brijbhushan Sharan Singh held a press conference on Saturday (29 April 2023) regarding the allegations of women wrestlers. During this, he has said, “Earlier there was a demand of the wrestlers that an FIR should be lodged. FIR is done. Now they say that he should be inside the jail. Resign from all posts. The Lok Sabha post that I have got, it was not Vinesh Phogat that gave me the public. Not once, but 6-6 times. Not only me, but also to my wife. He didn’t even give me the post of president of the wrestling association, I won by contesting the election.
The BJP MP said that some industrialists of the country and the Congress are behind these allegations. He further said, “I ask why there is only one family and only one akhada behind the allegations? Why are there no other players from Haryana. Why are there no players from Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka etc?”
The MP further said, “They have been sexually abused for 12 years and why doesn’t that sexual abuse happen to other sportspersons of the country? Rest 90 percent players of Haryana are with me because I have worked. Resigning is not a big deal. I’m not a criminal So if I resign, it would mean that I have accepted the charges.
