People of Saini, Mali, Maurya and Kushwaha communities are agitating for the demand of 12 percent reservation. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has appealed to the people of the society to maintain peace. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot says that people of every society should get their rights, but fierce demonstrations are not the solution to any demand. This does not send a good message to the society. The people of Mali, Saini, Kushwaha and Kachi communities have been considered calm, patient, serious and sensitive for centuries. In such a situation, the agitating people should work with patience. He said that the demands of the society have come before the government. By sending a letter to the OBC Commission, a meeting with the delegation of the Aarakshan Sangharsh Samiti has been fixed on May 1. In such a situation, the people of the society should maintain peace.
This movement of Saini community demanding reservation has spread in many districts of the state. National President of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rashtriya Jagrati Manch Moti Baba Phule has appealed to the people of the society. He has said that in view of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s feelings towards the Saini community, restraint and peace should be maintained with the people of the society.
Additional State Advocate Mangal Singh Saini said that the people of the society should not get involved in the words of those who spread any rumor or mislead. He said that keeping in mind the feelings of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, we should keep peace. A memorandum of demand letter was handed over to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on behalf of the delegation. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot immediately sent that demand letter to the OBC Category Commission. Also, on May 1, 2023, a meeting of the office bearers of the Commission with the delegation was fixed. CM Gehlot also said that when the central government will conduct caste census, then information about the number of all castes will be available. After that the people of the needy society should get their rights as per their convenience.
