New Delhi. The fan base of Toyota Innova in the MPV segment is no secret. One of the most popular cars in its segment, the Innova is all set to get a new branding. Yes, now Maruti Suzuki is preparing to launch the Innova Hycross under its own brand. This MPV will be developed under the agreement of Suzuki and Toyota and news is coming that the company can launch it for sale within the next two months.

Let us tell you that there is an agreement between Suzuki and Toyota that both the companies will share their vehicle platform and technology with each other. As a result of which you have seen models like Grand Vitara-Hyride, Baleno-Glanza. During the company’s Annual Financial Results press conference, Maruti Suzuki Chairman R.K. C. Bhargava said that one of the new products that we will introduce will be a Toyota derived vehicle and it will be a three-row strong-hybrid model.

Launched under the Maruti Suzuki brand, the Innova Hycross will be the flagship model of the company’s vehicle portfolio, which will rank above the existing Grand Vitara. Now it will be interesting to see what the company decides to price this car and possibly introduce it with a new name. Although R. C. Bhargava has definitely indicated that this will be the top-of-the-line model in terms of price.

All the information related to this car is yet to be revealed. But it is clear that this will be the most expensive car of Maruti Suzuki. The Innova Hycross was launched by Toyota in India in December 2022. The MPV comes with two engine options, including a 2.0-litre VVTi petrol and a 2.0-litre VVTi petrol fifth generation engine (with SHEV system). Currently, its price starts from Rs 18.55 lakhs and goes up to Rs 29.72 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the top model.
