Mumbai Crime: The father was so angry with a daughter marrying in another community that three days before the marriage, he attacked his daughter with a knife. A 38-year-old woman living in Andheri (West) of Mumbai was about to get married on Sunday (April 30), her father was against the marriage, and he got angry and attacked the daughter-mother.
According to Mumbai Police officials, a 79-year-old man named Prabhakar Shetty, enraged by this, attacked his 68-year-old wife and 38-year-old daughter with a knife and hammer and also tried to strangle them. At present, the accused person has been arrested and action will be taken against him as per the law. At the same time, the police have admitted the mother-daughter to the hospital where their condition is stable.
What is the whole matter?
Actually Prabhakar Shetty’s daughter was about to marry a man from a different community on Sunday. Prabhakar was opposing this marriage. Last Thursday (April 27) the daughter had engaged, about which he was not happy. He quarreled with both his wife and daughter about this matter, but things did not work out. The next day his anger increased on the fact that his name was not given on the wedding invitation card.
Regarding this, he first attacked his wife with a hammer and then tried to attack the daughter who came to save her mother on the head, chest and face. But the daughter-mother somehow managed to control the father by calling out to the neighbours. After this, the police reached the spot, took the father into custody and took the daughter to the hospital.
Police said that they have informed the matter to the couple’s son, who works in Scotland. Police told that the victim girl is employed in a private company and takes care of her elderly parents.
