New Delhi. Maruti Suzuki, one of India’s leading and best selling automobile manufacturers, has revealed its Maruti Suzuki Jimny at the Auto Expo 2023 and is now gearing up to launch the car in the market next month. It’s leaked. As per reports quoting dealer invoices, the car will be priced starting at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

Furthermore, the report also states that the base trim Zeta with manual transmission will cost Rs 9.99 lakh and the top-end Alpha AT variant will cost Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom). For those unaware, the company has announced that the Jimny will be launched in two variants namely Alpha and Zeta and these two trims will be divided into four variants.

The Maruti Suzuki Jimny is a five-door variant with off-roading capabilities and is very different from the model available in other parts of the world. The company is only offering a 3-door variant which is similar to the Mahindra Thar, but with a 5-door variant in India, it could be a new option in the segment.
The Maruti Suzuki Jimny will get a 1.5-litre petrol engine, capable of producing 103 bhp of max power and 134.2 Nm of peak torque. The engine will come mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission. Interestingly, this is the same engine that powers the XL6, Ertiga and Brezza as well.

In terms of features, the vehicle will get a SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, six airbags, a rearview camera, ISOFIX, brake differential with EBD and ABS and side-impact door beams as well as hill Descent control, hill hold assist included.
