Mann Ki Baat 100th Episode: Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to the countrymen on Sunday (April 30) through the Mann Ki Baat program. Being the 100th episode of Mann Ki Baat, this program was special in many ways. In this episode, the Prime Minister talked about the topics which became a mass movement through Mann Ki Baat. Along with this, the Prime Minister also mentioned those people who made Mann Ki Baat alive. Of these, the name of Sunil Jaglal, who started the Selfie with Daughter campaign, was taken by the PM first.
The PM said that Sunil Jaglal had left a huge impact on his mind. Sunil Jaglal comes from the state of Haryana, where there was a lot of discussion on the sex ratio. The low number of girls in comparison to boys used to be a matter of concern. Prime Minister Narendra Modi started the campaign of save daughter and educate daughter from Haryana itself.
How did the Selfie with Daughter campaign start?
In the Mann Ki Baat program, PM Modi said that when I started the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign, at the same time I saw Sunil Jaglal’s Selfie with Daughter campaign, I felt very happy. I also learned from him and included it in Mann Ki Baat. Selfie with daughter became a global campaign in no time.

During this, PM Modi spoke to Sunil Jaglal, who started the Selfie with Daughter campaign. Jaglal described this campaign as the fourth battle of Panipat to create a mass movement by linking it with Mann Ki Baat. PM Modi also asked Jaglal about the well being of his two daughters Nandini and Yashika. Jaglal’s two daughters are currently studying in seventh and fourth class respectively.

Inaugurating the program, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that thousands of letters and messages were received regarding the 100th episode. Many times while reading your letters, I got emotional, got filled with emotions, got carried away in emotions and managed to control myself again.
