Telecom service provider Reliance Jio on Thursday announced the launch of 5G services at Chardham Yatra campuses in Uttarakhand. Reliance Jio said in a statement that Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) chairman Ajendra Ajay launched the True 5G service in Badrinath. The doors of Badrinath Dham have also opened.
Apart from Badrinath, Kedarnath, Yamunotri and Gangotri Dham are also included in the journey of Chardham.
The company said that devotees visiting Chardham Yatra from all over the country will be able to take advantage of state-of-the-art telecom service by connecting to Jio’s 5G network during their visit to Kedarnath, Badrinath, Yamunotri and Gangotri Dham.
In a message issued on the occasion, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami thanked Jio for bringing a radical change in the digital landscape of Uttarakhand and said that with the introduction of 5G service, lakhs of devotees would be able to take advantage of the high-speed data network.
