IIT Guwahati student…
Apart from Andhra Pradesh-Telangana, incidents of suicide have been reported from IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Kharagpur and others. In recent days, a student of IIT Guwahati had committed suicide. This student was terminated due to some reasons which he could not tolerate and took his own life.
What are the reasons for these suicides?
Education experts give three reasons behind the incidents of these suicides…
First- In IIT, studies are done in English only. Telugu students have to face many problems due to the transfer to English mode, due to which many times they take such a step out of desperation.
Second- The students have to bear the pressure of the coaching center.
Thirdly, incidents of North-South bias also come to the fore, due to which the students are deeply affected.
At the same time, nine students have committed suicide since Thursday after failing in the Intermediate First Year and Second Year (Class 11 and 12) exams. And two other students have attempted suicide.
