At the same time, along with rain in the Himalayan states, snow can also fall. IMD has also issued an orange alert due to rain with strong winds in the northern parts. These days the devotees who went to Kedarnath Dham for darshan are also facing continuous snowfall there.
Rain forecast in these states
On Saturday, it rained in many states including Delhi-NCR, due to which the temperature dropped by about 6 degree Celsius and the weather became pleasant. On the other hand, there is a possibility of rain in Delhi-NCR on Sunday as well. Along with this, heavy rains are expected over Telangana, South Interior Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
Heavy rain and thundershowers may occur over West Bengal, Sikkim, Rayalaseema, South Interior Karnataka, Kerala and Mahe. Apart from this, rain and thundershowers are also expected in Odisha, East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, North Interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep.
According to the Meteorological Department, rain with thunder has been predicted in Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh and Coastal Karnataka. Thunderstorms are possible at some places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada.
