The integrated net profit of Hindustan Unilever, a daily use goods (FMCG) maker, increased by 12.74 percent to Rs 2,601 crore in the fourth quarter of the last financial year ended March 31, 2023. In the same quarter of the previous financial year, the company had earned a net profit of Rs 2,307 crore. In the information sent to the stock exchanges, the company said that its net sales during the quarter increased by 10.83 percent to Rs 14,926 crore, as against Rs 13,468 crore in the same quarter of the previous financial year.
In the fourth quarter of the last financial year, the total expenses of Hindustan Unilever increased from Rs 10,782 crore to Rs 11,961 crore. The total income of the company stood at Rs 15,375 crore in the March quarter.
HUL’s integrated net profit for the entire financial year 2022-23 increased by 14.06 percent to Rs 10,143 crore. It was Rs 8,892 in the financial year 2021-22. During this period, the operating income of Hindustan Unilever increased by 15.49 percent to Rs 59,443 crore, from Rs 51,472 crore in the previous financial year 2021-22.
Hindustan Unilever Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director Sanjiv Mehta said, “We have delivered another year of strong and combative performance amidst a challenging environment of geo-political uncertainty, high commodity inflation and sluggish markets.”
The board of directors of Hindustan Unilever has also declared a final dividend of Rs 22 on equity share of Re 1 each for the financial year ending 2022-23.
