New Delhi. The major changes made on the popular microblogging platform Twitter included the removal of the old legacy blue tick and now its effect is visible on the platform. Twitter’s new CEO Elon Musk had told that April 20 is the deadline, after which blue ticks will be removed from the accounts of those users who are not paying for it. That is, now if you want a blue tick on Twitter, then you will have to pay compulsorily.

On Twitter, any user can now buy blue ticks by paying for the Twitter Blue service. However, there were some accounts which had received blue tick before this change and did not have to pay for it. After the change made by Musk, now there will be no verified account with blue tick, which is not paying for blue subscription. In case of not doing so, the blue tick will be removed from the account.

Legacy verified blue tick will be removed from today
In the past, the Twitter Verified account had unfollowed all the users and in a new tweet, it has been told that after April 20, the platform is going to remove the legacy verified checkmarks. Legacy blue ticks are said to be such verification marks, which were received by the users before the changes made by Musk and for which the users did not have to pay any kind. Now such blue ticks will be removed, so that all users with blue verification badge become part of the company’s subscription plan.

This much payment is necessary to maintain Blue Tick
Users will have to sign-up for Twitter Blue subscription if they want Blue Tick on their account, or want to retain the existing Blue Tick. The price of Twitter Blue subscription plan in India has been kept at Rs 900 per month on iOS and Rs 650 per month on website. Its monthly plan for Android users is Rs 900. If users want, they can take Blue Tick for a year by paying Rs 9,400.

Indian Ku app promises free verification
Indian social media platform Koo, which provides facilities like Twitter, has promised that users will continue to be given the benefit of free verification on its behalf. At a time when apart from Twitter, Meta has also started taking money in exchange for blue ticks on its platform and giving verification in exchange for money, eligible users on Koo will continue to get verification without any additional payment. Yellow ticks are given to verified users on the platform and many advanced features are available.
