PM Modi Congratulates Satwiksairaj-Chirag: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, who became the first Indian pair to win the Badminton Asia Championship. World Championship 2022 bronze medalist Indian pair made a stunning comeback after losing the first game to beat Malaysia’s Ong Yew Sin and Teo Yee Yee 16-21, 21-17, 21-19 in the final in Dubai.
Earlier, only Dinesh Khanna had won gold for India in this championship when he defeated Thailand’s Sangob Rattanusorn in the men’s singles final in 1965 in Lucknow.
