Atiq Ahmed Case: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the murder case of mafia Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf Ahmed has got an important information. The SIT has come to know of four mobile numbers of the shooters. These include the mobile numbers of Lavlesh Tiwari and Arun Maurya. The SIT has also received the call detail report of these numbers and now the officials are trying to bust the conspiracy through this.
In order to investigate the SIT is now recording the statements of all those people who are connected with the case. Under this, notice has been issued to 24 other people. These include policemen as well as media persons, doctors who do postmortem and others. Significantly, the statements of some policemen present on the spot at the time of the incident have already been recorded. According to the information, the shooters had used fake Aadhaar during their stay in the hotel.
Address in Aadhaar was wrong
The name and father’s name in the shooters’ Aadhaar cards were correct, but the address was wrong. The address of all three was registered in Chitrakoot in the Aadhaar card submitted at the hotel. The police will take action against those who allegedly helped these shooters to make fake Aadhaar cards and made them part of the conspiracy.
The Mafia brothers were shot dead in police custody outside Colvin Hospital on April 15 while being taken for a routine checkup. The police immediately arrested the three accused and the investigation is on. Atiq and Ashraf were being interrogated regarding the murder of Umesh Pal. Because of this case, Atik was brought from Gujarat to the Prayagraj High Court. Umesh Pal was murdered on 24 February 2023 in Prayagraj. Two policemen who were protecting Umesh were also killed during the incident.
