Bengaluru based start-up Simple Energy has announced the launch of its first electric scooter Simple One in the market next month. This electric scooter will be launched on 23 May. The company showcased it for the first time in the year 2021, at that time it was claimed that it was the fastest electric scooter in the country.

Although the plan to launch this electric scooter was going on for a long time and there have been continuous news about it. But now the company has finally announced the date of launching this electric scooter.
Commenting on the launch of Simple One electric scooter, Suhas Rajkumar, Founder & CEO, Simple Energy said, “When we set out to create Simple One, our aim was to give customers a product that meets global standards. We have tested our products for the most demanding features and requirements over the past 2 years to deliver the best results.”
The company has become the first manufacturer to comply with the Automotive Industry Standard (AIS) 156 Revision 3, which ensures greater safety for batteries used in electric vehicles.

How is Simple One Electric Scooter
As revealed by the company, the Simple One electric scooter has been under testing for the past two years. It is obvious that many new changes would have been made during this testing. At present, according to the data recorded on the company’s official website, an electric motor of 8.5kW capacity has been used in this electric scooter, which generates torque of 72Nm. It is powered by a 4.8kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which offers a range of up to 236 km on a single charge.

In terms of driving range, the Simple One is better than any other electric scooter in the Indian market. It is believed that once it hits the market, the scooter will primarily compete with models like the Ola S1 and the Ather 450X, which come with a claimed driving range of up to 181 km and 146 km, respectively. Now it will be interesting to see what price the company decides for this electric scooter.
