Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has spent Rs 45 crore to refurbish his official residence CM Awas. He spent crores of rupees from kitchen to bathroom and on the curtains of the house. There was a time when CM Kejriwal used to question the air condition installed in the house of the then Chief Minister of Congress, Sheila Dikshit.
His former colleague Kapil Mishra, who often raised questions on Arvind Kejriwal, shared an old tweet of Arvind Kejriwal and wrote, “There is no bigger fraud than this in the politics of the country”. In this tweet, Arvind Kejriwal has raised questions on Sheila Dikshit and said that she has installed AC in her bathroom as well.
Arvind Kejriwal wrote in his tweet on October 27, 2013, “Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dixit ji’s house has 10 ACs. I have heard that there is AC in his bathroom too. Who pays their AC bill? Me and you fill up! My heart trembles, thinking that when 40% of Delhi’s people live in slums, then how can a Chief Minister live in a luxurious house!”

Times Now Navbharat’ had informed in its operation named ‘Sheesh Mahal’ that curtains worth Rs 8-8 lakh were installed in the CM’s residence. Rs 1 crore was spent only on the curtains. A total of 23 curtains were ordered, some of which are yet to be installed and some have been installed. Initially 8 curtains were installed, which cost Rs 45 lakh. In the second phase, 15 curtains were ordered, which were worth Rs 51 lakh.
Not only this, marble was brought from Vietnam to install in the Chief Minister’s residence. It is called ‘Dior Pearl Marble’, which is of superior quality. Its cost is 15 lakh rupees. Fitting is also done in a different way to install it. AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha had clarified on this and said that the bungalow was built in 1942, where water used to drip from the roof and the elderly used to face problems.
It was also revealed in the operation of the channel that CM Kejriwal’s Chief Minister’s residence has not one or two, but 15 bathrooms and one lakh rupees have been spent in decorating each bathroom. Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor Arvind Kejriwal’s official residence cost over Rs 10 lakh only on sanitary fittings.
Curtains worth Rs 8 lakh each were installed in the CM residence.
According to the channel, Rs 2.58 crore was spent on various electrical items in CM Kejriwal’s residence, Rs 1.10 crore on kitchen and appliances, Rs 11.30 crore on interior decoration (wooden floor, wooden door and UPVC door), Rs 25 lakh on hot water generator. Rupees and one crore rupees were spent for superior consultancy (just to tell).
Not only this, Arvind Kejriwal has also decided to expand the 4.7-acre CM residence at Flagstaff, Civil Lines, to 7.3 acres. For this, some government officials like IAS and judges were given eviction notices. These houses are built on 2.6 acres of land.
This decision was taken on 28 July 2021 by the Aam Aadmi Party government led by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Immediately after this, in August 2021, 2 bungalows and 8 flats were sent notices and vacated. Both these bungalows are on Flagstaff Road, while the flats are on Rajpur Road.
