Now there is a demand that this road should be named after Latadi.

BMC is working on several projects to connect Mumbai to Kalyan, Bhiwandi as well as Mira-Bhayander, Vasai-Virar, Navi Mumbai and Thane. Of these, the Coastal Road is the most prominent. BMC has recently announced the extension of this Coastal Road from Versova to Dahisar, starting from Peddar Road. About 9000 crore rupees will be spent for this. The work on Versova-Dahisar Coastal Road will start from 2023-24. The distance by road is about 22 km which takes about an hour to cover. With the construction of the Coastal Road, this distance can be covered within a few minutes.

The family of late Lata Mangeshkar has demanded that this very important project for Mumbai be named after Latadi. It has been a year since Latadidi, who brought laurels to the country all over the world with the magic of her voice.
