Deobandi Ulema Mufti Asad Qasmi has issued a decree regarding the interest and insurance received on the savings account from the bank. He said that taking interest is forbidden in Islam. Still, if someone takes haram money, he should give it to the needy.
no insurance at all
Regarding insurance, Ulema says that life is the trust of Allah. Which is not right to sell. That’s why insurance should not be done at all. Then why shouldn’t it be of life or something else.
people like us don’t use
Regarding the savings account in the bank, Qasmi further says, “In this connection, let me tell you that Shariat, Quran and Hadith say that we are the only owners of the money that we have deposited in the bank. If we get interest from the bank, then People like us do not use it. We do not even take it from the bank. Those who do take it, spend it on the needy.”
This is not the first time that Kasmi has listed restrictions. Earlier, he has also spoken about not celebrating birthdays. Behind this he had argued that it is not in Shariat, Quran or Hadith.
Recently, while appealing to the Muslims of the country, Qasmi said that band baja, fireworks, horse riding and DJ should be avoided in weddings. Not only this, Nikah should also be conducted inside the mosque. Nikah should be done according to the customs of Islam.
It may be noted that recently the Ulemas in Dadri had taken a decision. In this, it was decided that no ulema would go to the Muslim wedding where there would be DJ or fireworks. A fatwa was issued that after identifying such people, the ulema would not participate in their funeral.
