Today another new player has entered the country’s electric two-wheeler market. Bengaluru-based electric vehicle start-up Ultraviolette Automotive Pvt Ltd has today launched its new bike Ultraviolette F77 in the domestic market on 24th November. Sport bike adorned with attractive looks and powerful electric motor has been introduced in three options (Airstrike, Laser and Shadow) and two variants (Recon, Original). The official bookings for this bike have started and its starting price has been fixed at Rs.3.80 lakhs. This bike can be booked with a token amount of Rs.10,000.
Ultraviolet Automotive says that all the variants of the bike differ in features and technology. In its top variant, a battery pack of 10.5 kWh capacity has been used, which gives the bike a driving range of up to 307 km. It is being told that this is the fastest electric bike in the country, its top speed is 150 kilometers per hour. Its electric motor generates power of 29 kW and torque of 90 Nm. If you want to understand its power, then let us tell you that, Royal Enfield’s 350 cc model engine generates power of 20 BHP.

The company has given a futuristic design to this bike. The bike comes with monoshock and inverted fork setup, disc brakes on both the wheels. The LED headlights, taillamps and the Day Time Running Lights (DRL’s) add to the beauty of the bike. It has been given a smart TFT display, in which information related to bike speed, battery status is available.
77 units of the special edition will be available:
The company has also announced the launch of a special edition of this electric bike, of which only 77 units will be manufactured. To make the special edition special, each unit will be decorated with a unique number and special paint scheme (meteor gray with yellow). Apart from this, the special edition engine generates 40.2 bhp power and 100Nm torque. This model is capable of catching a speed of 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 7.8 seconds and its top speed will be 152 kilometers per hour.
The company says that both the original and Recon variants of the F77 generate power of 38.8 bhp and torque of 95 Nm. They have a top speed of 147 kmph and come with three riding modes, which include Glide, Combat and Blastic. This bike has been introduced with two different battery packs, which include 7.1 kWh and 10.3 kWh, which give a driving range (IDC) of up to 206 km and 307 km respectively.
Let us tell you that the battery pack of 10.3 kWh capacity has not been done in any electric two-wheeler in India till now. The company is offering a warranty of up to 8 years or 1 lakh kilometers with both the batteries. The facility of fast charging is also available with this bike, with the help of which the battery of the bike will be charged so much in just 1 hour that you will get a driving range of up to 35 kilometers. Apart from this, the option of boost charger is also available, due to which charging of range up to 75 km is available in 1 hour.
