Under this, preparations are on to give a new shape to religious tourism in the state through Ramayana, Mahabharata, Shaktipeeth, Krishna, Buddha, Jain and Sufi circuits. The government says that by developing religious tourist places like Ramayana and Mahabharata circuit as a circuit, spiritual tourism will gain popularity not only in the country but across the world.

According to the information, places related to Sita and Ram will be included in the Ramayana circuit. It will also have Ayodhya, Bithoor, Chitrakoot and other places. The Mahabharata circuit will include places like Hastinapur, Kampilya, Gonda, Lakshagriha. Krishna circuit will include Mathura, Vrindavan, Gokul, Barsana, Nandgaon and other places associated with Krishna, Shaktipeeth circuit will include Vindhyavasini Devi, Ashtabhuja, Devipatan, Naimisharanya, Lalita Devi, Shakambhari Devi in Saharanpur and other places. Some places including Kapilvastu, Kushinagar, Shravasti, Sarnath, Kaushambi will be included in Buddha circuit.
Apart from this Jain circuit will have Deogarh, Hastinapur, Digambar Jain Temple Ramnagar and in Sufi circuit Kabir’s birthplace Varanasi, Nirvana Sthali, Magahar of Basti district, Saint Kabir Nagar will be there. At the same time, places like Batesar of Gorakhpur, Agra will be included in the spiritual circuit.
