In this review, you will know how Samsung’s new flagship earbuds perform and where they stand in front of Apple’s new AirPods. Are these earbuds better than Apple’s top end AirPods or better than other earbuds in this segment? Let’s know.

First of all let’s talk about design and build quality. The design and build quality is top notch. The buds and the accompanying box are not very big. In pocket you can keep it comfortably with phone.

However, the case of this buds will show some scratches in some time i.e. in a month or two. You can also keep it in the cover. Many different covers are also available in the market.

It has support for wireless charging and USB Type C. If you want, you can charge the case with Qi enabled wireless charger or you can also charge it through USB Type C.

The case of Galaxy Buds Pro is not slippery and it can be easily held. It is solid to open and close and you do not have any problem in keeping the buds. Buds can be easily kept in the case.

Samsung claims that if you use this case with and without active noise cancellation on, you will get a backup of up to 28 hours.

The Galaxy Buds Pro fit snugly in the ears and are comfortable too. Does not prick in the ears and you will not feel much discomfort even after wearing it for a long time. After applying in the ears, they are not visible much outside. Some other in ear buds are quite visible which looks strange.

Mostly the problem of these ear buds is that their touch sensitive controls get activated when accidentally touched. This problem is also with it. However, if you want, you can also turn off touch control.

The multipoint feature of Galaxy Buds Pro also works very well. Actually, these buds work in their full range with Samsung phones.

Now let’s talk about the audio quality of these earbuds. Sound by AKG is written on the case of these buds. This means that Samsung’s own company AKG has tuned its audio.

The experience of listening to music has been excellent and there is no problem in calling as well. Sound balanced is available, but flat sound does not sound that much better. It should have been better in terms of price.

Through the Samsung Wearable app, you can make changes in EQ according to your test. I liked its 360 audio support system which lets you listen to any music in virtual surround sound and it gives a next level feel.

If you understand Apple’s Spatial Audio then it is more or less the same.

The bass is good and the treble also sounds satisfactory and if you listen to it even at maximum volume, then there will be no discomfort to the ears and neither will these earbuds prick your ears.

You will be able to feel the clarity in the audio, although it will also depend on the quality of the track you are listening to. If you use Samsung Smartphone then you get support of many such codecs here which are not available when connected with other phones. That’s why there is a lot of difference in quality here too.

Active Noise Cancellation ie ANC has been supported. The built-in microphones are visible and work well too. As soon as you turn on the ANC, the sound around you stops coming to your ears.

By turning on ANC in the office or at home, you get rid of absolutely unnecessary sounds. Even if there is construction going on near the house or someone is listening to loud music in another room, you can comfortably enjoy the music by turning on the ANC.

Although the ANC of these earbuds cannot be called the best in this segment. Because many specialized audio makers offer better active noise cancellation in their earbuds at this price.

Galaxy Buds Pro short review: Final Thoughts

Galaxy Buds Pro is water proof, which means you can get wet wearing it. Earlier, the company had not given IPX7 rating, but it is available in this. This means that even if your earbuds fall in water, there are less chances of damage. However, if they remain in water for a long time, they can get spoiled.

The audio quality of Galaxy Buds Pro is top notch, full clarity is also available in calling. The bass is great and overall they give you a balanced sound output. It works in its full power with Samsung smartphones. That is, if you have a Samsung phone then this is a better option.

Galaxy Buds Pro can be charged wirelessly. Does not prick in the ears and is not much visible from outside. There is no problem in wearing it for a long time.

Active noise cancellation is good, but not the best. The size of the box is compact, so it is very easy to carry. Battery backup up to 28 hours is claimed with the case.

With a single full charge, you can listen to music for about 4.5 hours. If you listen while turning off the ANC, it can give you a backup of 6 to 7 hours. Overall, I have run the case comfortably for three days in moderate use while fully charging the case. That’s why battery backup can be called good.
