Raju Srivastava hails from Kanpur city of Uttar Pradesh and was married to Shikha Srivastava in the year 1993. Raju waited a long time for about 12 years to find his love, then somewhere their love story was successful.
went to brother’s wedding as a procession, gave heart to Shikha
Raju Srivastava had gone to Fatehpur as a wedding procession for his brother and only then he saw Shikha for the first time in the marriage. On seeing Shikha, he was heartbroken by her. Later they come to know that Shikha is none other than the girl but the cousin of his future sister-in-law. Shikha’s family lived in Etawah. After this Raju Srivastava started going to Etawah on some pretext or the other and his meeting with Shikha started increasing. Raju Srivastava could not express his love in front of Shikha even after much courage.
Raju Srivastava came to Mumbai in 1982
In 1982, Raju Srivastava came to Mumbai to try his luck, but never forgot Shikha. During this, Raju and Shikha also used to write letters to each other. Raju Srivastava had revealed in an interview that he had an idea that Shikha also liked him because whenever he had any relation for marriage, she would refuse. When Raju settled in Mumbai, he convinced his family members to talk about his relationship with Shikha. Shikha’s brother went to Raju’s house in Mumbai and saw his house and living conditions there. About 12 years after their first meeting, both of them tied the knot.
