The film is semi-autobiographical. Film director Nalin was born and brought up in Adtala village, Saurashtra. The film stars six village boys from the local communities of the region. The film has been shot in the villages and railway station of Saurashtra. He also brought in old celluloid Hindi films and a technician to operate the projector for the film. The cast is mostly made up of child actors. Nalin’s friend and casting director Dilip Shankar helped Nalin in casting the child actors. The film was shot in March 2020, just before the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown in India. It was completed during the post-production pandemic. The film is produced by Dheer Momaya’s Jugaad Motion Picture, Nalin’s Monsoon Films and Marc Dull’s Stranger 88 in co-production with Virginie Lacombe’s Virginie Films and Eric DuPont’s Incognito Films.
