Mumbai: Union Minister Narayan Rane has received a setback from the Bombay High Court. The High Court on Tuesday ordered the demolition of an illegal structure built on the bungalow of Union Minister Narayan Rane. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 10 lakh on Rane. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) had earlier sent a notice to Union Minister Narayan Rane over alleged illegal construction and alteration of a bungalow at his Juhu residence.
The notice, signed by a designated officer of BMC’s K-West ward, was issued under section 351 of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation (MMC) Act for alleged unauthorized change of use in violation of a plan approved by the civic body.
