New Delhi: Following the recent spurt in COVID-19 cases in the national capital, Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena on Tuesday appealed to people to behave in a COVID-appropriate manner. He added that “the pandemic is not over”. “We are seeing a rise in COVID19 infections, with consistently high positivity and re-infection cases. LG tweeted saying that I appeal to all to strictly follow the COVID Appropriate Practices.

Delhi reported 1227 new Kovid-19 cases on Monday, according to health department data. In which eight people died with a positivity rate of 14.57 percent. Delhi reported 2162 Kovid-19 cases and five deaths on Sunday and 2031 cases were reported on Saturday. At the same time, 15040 Kovid patients have been cured in the last 24 hours in the country. Due to which the total number of people recovering from the infection has increased to 43638844.

Right now the recovery rate is 98.56 percent. According to the Ministry of Health, the daily positivity rate of the country is 4.15 percent. While its weekly positivity rate is 4.79 percent. As part of the nationwide vaccination campaign, the Government of India is supporting the States and Union Territories by providing them with free COVID vaccines. In the new phase of universalization of the COVID19 vaccination campaign, the central government will procure and supply 75 per cent of the vaccines being produced by the vaccine manufacturers in the country to the states and union territories.
