New Delhi: Kesaria Bhaat is a famous South Indian dish. It is eaten a lot especially in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. They are made by adding lots of dry fruits. They are sweet in taste, which looks wonderful to eat. In such a situation, today we have brought you the recipe for making saffron rice. You can make everyone’s mouth sweet by making them on special occasions like 15th August and Janmashtami. After tasting the taste of saffron rice, everyone will start praising your food, so let’s know the recipe of making saffron rice-
Ingredients for making Kesaria Bhaat-
Long Basmati Rice 1 cup
-sugar 1½ cups
-Orange food color tsp
– few saffron threads
Milk small bowl
– Ghee 2 tbsp
cup of raisins, cashews, almonds and dry coconut
– cloves 3-4
-Cinnamon 1 small piece
Cardamom powder tsp
Recipe for making Kesaria Bhaat-
To make this, first of all, wash and clean the rice thoroughly.
Then you keep them soaked in water for about 10 minutes.
After this, you take a little lukewarm in a vessel and put saffron in it and keep it for a while.
Then you heat water in a deep bottomed pan.
After this you add rice to it and cook them till about 80%.
After this, when the rice is cooked, you remove the extra water from it.
Then put some ghee in a pan and heat it.
After this, you add cloves and cinnamon to it.
Then you add water, sugar and saffron and cook it for a while.
After this, when the sugar starts dissolving in the water, then you add food color and cardamom powder to it.
Then you cook it for about 2-3 minutes and turn off the gas.
After this, add the uncooked rice to it and mix it well.
Then you cover them and cook them for about 5 minutes.
Now your flavored saffron rice is ready.
Then garnish them with nuts and dry fruits and serve hot.
