New Delhi: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday said valor stories of Indian soldiers would soon be made part of the school curriculum to inculcate a sense of responsibility towards the nation in children from an early age. The Union Education Minister said these things at a ceremony to honor the winners of the Veer Gatha Competition in New Delhi on Friday.
The Union Education Minister said that the Ministry of Education, in consultation with the Defense Ministry, will work to inculcate the bravery of soldiers during the last 75 years in the school curriculum and textbooks to inculcate the sense of responsibility towards the nation from an early age.
Thanks to Defense Minister for Veergatha Project
Dharmendra Pradhan said that there could not be a better occasion to pay respect to the heroes of India during the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence. He thanked the Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh for starting the ‘Veergatha Project’. It is important to develop a strong patriotism towards our jawans, he added.
Preparations to organize Super 25 on a large scale
Pradhan said that the patriotism of young India and respect for our heroes has come to the fore in a constructive manner through the Super 25 and Veergatha projects. He assured that the Ministry of Education would soon develop an institutional mechanism for grant of academic credit for the certificates obtained under this initiative.
The Union Minister said that this time Super 25 was organized among 8 lakh students from 5,000 schools. We will work to take this initiative to all schools in India and to over one crore students.
