Weather Alert: Monsoon has gained momentum all over India and these days many areas of the country are receiving continuous heavy rain. Due to this rain, flood-like situation has arisen in many states and farmers have got relief in many states. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rains in August and September like July.
The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in many states even today. These include Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Goa, Telangana, and Odisha.

In this episode, there is a possibility of rain in Delhi-NCR even today. According to MID, there is a forecast of rain in Delhi today and tomorrow as the monsoon trough is moving down from the foothills of the Himalayas. Heavy rain is forecast in many areas of Uttar Pradesh today and tomorrow.
According to the Meteorological Department, a red alert has been issued for heavy rain in Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Konkan and Goa from today to August 9.
On the other hand, there is a possibility of heavy rains in Madhya Pradesh and Saurashtra on August 8 and 9. While Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha are expected to receive heavy rains between August 7 and 9. At the same time, there is a rain alert in Telangana, Coastal and North Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Kerala from today to August 9.
According to IMD, there is a possibility of heavy rain in West Bengal, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura today and tomorrow. Whereas in West Bengal, Odisha and Jharkhand, there is an alert of continuous rain from today till August 9.
Private weather forecasting agency Skymet Weather According to Skymet Weather, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, rest of North East India, remaining parts of Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, East Rajasthan, Rayalaseema, Konkan and Light to moderate rain is possible over Goa and Madhya Maharashtra. Light rain is possible at one or two places over West Rajasthan over Delhi, Gujarat, Gangetic West Bengal, Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh.
