New Delhi: There is news of explosion in Kabul, Afghanistan. The bomb exploded near a mosque in the capital, Kabul. 8 people have died in this blast. Also, 18 people have been reported injured. It is being told that the blast took place in a crowded area. A senior Taliban official has confirmed this.
According to Khalid Zadran, the Taliban-appointed spokesman for Kabul’s police chief, the bombing took place in the Shia-dominated Sar-e Karez area of western Kabul. The initial report gave information about the death of two people, but later the death toll increased after the death of some injured.
The terrorist organization Islamic State (IS) has claimed responsibility for this attack. Police contrary to IS’s claim that 20 people were killed in the blast. Some videos of the incident have been posted on social media. Cries of people are heard in the video. There have been blasts in several gurdwaras in Afghanistan in recent times. The explosion took place near the gate of Parwan Gurdwara.
A week earlier, there was a suicide attack during a T20 match at the Kabul International Cricket Stadium in Kabul. The blast during the live match created panic in the audience. However, there were no casualties in this incident.
