At the same time, the veterinary department has also come on alert mode. In fact, in Semalia village of Ratlam district, more than a dozen cows have become sores on their bodies by forming small lumps, while similar symptoms have been seen in many cows of Barbodna village.
The Veterinary Department has not confirmed a positive case of this disease, but after showing symptoms like lumpy virus, the district as well as the state veterinary department has come on high alert. Taking samples of all the animals, the medical department has sent them to Bhopal for examination. These samples will be sent to the National Institute of High Security Animal Diseases, Bhopal for investigation.
According to the advisory, according to the advisory and guidelines issued by the Government of India, for the identification and control of lumpi disease, while being alert, the samples are to be collected and sent to the State Animal Disease Investigation Laboratory, according to the guidelines, when symptoms appear.
According to veterinary doctors, MP virus is a viral disease occurring in animals, due to which its virus reaches from one animal to another with the help of blood-sucking insects. In the symptom of this disease, small lumps are formed on the body of the animal. Which turns into small wounds and wounds start appearing on the animal’s body. Due to this, the animal consumes less food and its immunity starts decreasing.
Although according to veterinary doctors, the mortality rate in lumpy virus is low, but the spread of this disease is high. According to the doctors of the veterinary department, the possibility of transmission of this disease from animals to humans is negligible.
