New Delhi: The life of Arpita Mukherjee, an aide of Partha Mukherjee, arrested in the West Bengal SSC recruitment scam i.e. teacher recruitment scam, is in danger. Arpita’s lawyers have informed the court about this. Lawyers have said that we want Division 1 prisoner category for Arpita. The lawyers requested the court that only after testing the food and water, it should be given to Arpita. On the other hand, ED’s counsel also supported that their security is at risk as not more than 4 prisoners can be kept with them.

Let us inform that in the SSC recruitment scam case, the ED had reached the City Sessions Court in Kolkata today regarding former West Bengal minister Partha Chatterjee and his close aide Arpita Mukherjee. On the other hand, during the hearing, the investigating agency accused former Bengal minister Partha Chatterjee of not cooperating in the investigation. It also demanded from the court to extend the custody of Chatterjee and Mukherjee for 14 days. The court has reserved its order after hearing the arguments of both the parties.
Crores of rupees in cash were found from two flats of Arpita
Chatterjee, who held the post of Industries Minister in the Mamata Banerjee-led state government, and his close aide have been arrested by the ED. On July 23, the ED had raided Arpita Mukherjee’s flat in connection with the investigation into the alleged school recruitment scam. Over Rs 21 crore in cash and crores of gold jewelery were seized during this period. Four days later, on July 27, Rs 27.9 crore and gold ornaments and foreign currency were also recovered from another flat belonging to Mukherjee.
Partha Chatterjee was attacked by woman with slippers
Let us tell you that earlier a woman had attacked Partha Chatterjee, who was brought for the production, with slippers. The woman had told that the former minister is being brought to the court in an AC car, while he has looted money from the poor. The matter pertains to alleged irregularities in the recruitment of teachers and non-teaching staff in government schools through the School Service Commission (SSC). Chatterjee was the education minister of Bengal when the alleged school job scam happened.
