Weather Update: Monsoon is active all over the country and many states are receiving continuous heavy rain. Due to this rain, many areas have been submerged and rivers are in spate. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to heavy rains in many areas of the country even today.
According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain is expected for the next few days from the hilly areas to the plains. According to MID, there may be continuous rain in other states of the country including Delhi to Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand and Rajasthan.
According to IMD, rain may resume from Delhi-NCR from today and light to heavy rain and thundershowers are likely to continue for the next three days. According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon is likely to move northwards gradually, leading to increased rain-related activities in North India from Wednesday.
MID has issued heavy rain alert in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka and Telangana today. While there is a possibility of rain in many other states including Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Along with this, heavy rain is forecast in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on July 29 and 30.
At the same time, according to private weather forecasting agency Skymet Weather, today, western parts of Rajasthan, Gujarat region, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Sikkim, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Interior Karnataka But light to heavy rain may occur.
