Weather Update: These days the month of Sawan is going on and according to its mood, in this month most parts of the country are getting heavy rains. In most areas of the country including Delhi-NCR, the rains have continued for the last several days. Even today, the sky is covered with dark clouds in many parts of the country.
According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), the axis of Monsoon trough remains in North India. Due to which the monsoon will remain active continuously for the next few days in the states of North India and Central India. Heavy rain will occur at many places including Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi.
Along with this, there will be heavy rain over the mountains of North India including Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. There is also a possibility of cloudburst on the mountains in many areas. On the other hand, rain is expected to continue over most parts of Central India including Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Goa.
Along with this, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert for rain in Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Sikkim for the next four days. Along with this, rain is also forecast in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura for the next four days.
At the same time, till July 27, there is a possibility of heavy rains in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has also issued rain alert in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Uttar Pradesh. According to the IMD’s prediction, an orange alert has been issued for heavy rain in Rajasthan for the next three to four days.
At the same time, according to private weather forecasting agency Skymet Weather, today Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan, Delhi, parts of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, North West and East Rajasthan, parts of Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Light to moderate rain with isolated heavy rain is likely over Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Along with this, light to moderate rain with one or two heavy spells may occur over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and South Interior Karnataka.
