Weather Alert: These days, the period of heavy rains is continuing in many states of the country. Due to this rain, rivers are in spate in many states and there are flood-like situations. Life has been disturbed by this. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light to heavy rain in many areas even today. According to MID, during the next 24 hours, a warning of torrential rain has been issued at many places of Madhya Pradesh including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, northern areas of Punjab.
Apart from this, there is a possibility of light to heavy rains in many parts of South East Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Coastal Karnataka, Kerala, West Bengal, Sikkim and North East India. On the other hand, there is a possibility of rain in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Rajasthan till July 24. On the other hand, there is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder and lightning in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh even today.
According to the IMD, heavy rain with lightning is forecast for the next four days over Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Madhya Pradesh and the northeastern states- Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.
In the south, heavy rain is predicted in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Mahe region. The IMD says that today the sky will be generally cloudy in most parts of the country. IMD has issued a red alert for heavy rain in many areas of the hilly state of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh today. There is a possibility of heavy rain in many areas of Rajasthan today.
According to private weather forecasting agency Skymet Weather, during the next 24 hours, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, parts of Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, North and Central Madhya Pradesh, Sikkim, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Assam, Light to heavy rains are very likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Coastal areas, Odisha, Vidarbha and Coastal Karnataka.
Along with this, rain may occur over rest of Northeast India, Delhi, East Rajasthan, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, Interior Odisha, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Kerala, Lakshadweep, parts of North Bihar, South Bihar, Jharkhand and Tamil Nadu. While there is a possibility of rain in Bihar, Ladakh, western parts of Rajasthan, interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema and Lakshadweep.
