It is raining heavily in Mumbai and its surrounding areas. Normal life has been disrupted due to heavy rains. Due to the rain, many areas have been flooded. Andheri subway has also been closed due to waterlogging. Along with this, the routes of many buses have been diverted.
It rained so much that the Pandhartara bridge of Vasai was completely submerged in water and communication with about 30 nearby villages was cut off. Nalasopara also witnessed a bad situation due to rain. Traffic came to a standstill in Nalasopara due to water logging on the roads. These places have been raining heavily since Monday. Road and train traffic has been disrupted due to heavy rains.

According to the Meteorological Department, a red alert has been issued in Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg till July 9. On the other hand, a red alert has been issued in Palghar, Pune, Kolhapur and Satara till July 8. Mumbai and Thane are on orange alert till July 10.
