Tribal woman burnt alive in Guna
A case of trying to kill a woman of Sahariya Basti of Dhanoria village of Bamori development block of Guna district of Madhya Pradesh by burning alive came to light. According to reports, there was a dispute over land in Dhanoria village for a long time, due to which Arjun Sahariya’s wife Rampyari Bai was on the farm on Saturday afternoon when the people of the opposing side poured diesel on her and set her on fire. Arjun had told that when he reached the farm, the accused were running and his wife’s clothes were burnt, smoke was coming out of her body.
Regarding this incident, former Chief Minister and State President of Congress Kamal Nath said, atrocities on tribals are not taking the name of stopping under Shivraj Singh Chouhan government. In Dhanoria village of Guna district, a case of burning a woman of Sahariya tribal community by pouring diesel has come to the fore. The condition of the woman is very serious.
Referring to the statement of the woman’s husband, Kamal Nath said, “The woman’s husband says that he had given an application to the police on June 23, threatening his security, but the security was not received.” I want to ask Shivraj why his government has such a hostile attitude towards the tribal community? When will the tribal community in the state be safe?
At the same time, the State Secretary of Communist Party of Marxist Jaswinder Singh has issued a statement saying that the accused is domineering and he had taken possession of six bighas of land belonging to the woman’s family. Rampyari and her husband Arjun Sahariya were fighting to take back the land from the oppressors. In the month of May, the Tehsildar had also ordered to give that land to Rampyari’s family. But the Dabangs were still keeping their eyes on the ground. Yesterday, he was sowing soybeans by driving a tractor on the ground, when Rampyari stopped him, he was burnt alive.
The CPI(M) has blamed the anti-tribal attitude of the BJP government and the police administration for burning the tribal woman.
