New Delhi: Rishabh Pant played a brilliant innings of 76 off 87 balls for Leicestershire against the Indian cricket team on the second day of their practice match in Leicester on Friday.
The flamboyant wicketkeeper-batsman was dismissed by Ravindra Jadeja on the third ball of the 46th over when Pant was caught at long-on by Shreyas Iyer while trying to go for a huge lead.
Just after getting out, Pant was hugged by Jadeja. Other Indian cricketers also gave high fives to the Delhi Capitals captain.
Pant joined the Indian fielders and started celebrating his own wicket before walking back to the change room.

Since this is the only chance to practice before the Birmingham Test, there are few Indian players playing for Leicestershire. Pant, Cheteshwar Pujara, Jasprit Bumrah, Prashant Krishna and Navdeep Saini are playing for the county team.
During his innings, Pant hit 14 fours and a six as Leicestershire were bowled out for 244 in 57 overs. Cheteshwar Pujara could not replicate Pant’s form for the county cricket team and was dismissed for six off six balls.
Mohammed Shami and Jadeja were bowling brilliantly for India and they took three wickets each. Meanwhile, Shardul Thakur and Mohammad Siraj took two dismissals each.
Earlier, India declared 246 for eight in their first innings, with wicketkeeper-batsman Bharat registering a crucial 70 off 111 balls. Meanwhile, skipper Rohit Sharma could manage only 25 runs in 47 balls and Virat Kohli added 33 runs to India’s scoreboard.
