Patna: The ongoing protest against the Agneepath scheme has turned violent. Many trains have been burnt in UP-Bihar. In view of the demonstration, the Bihar government has decided to stop internet service in 12 districts. Internet services will be temporarily suspended in Kaimur, Bhojpur, Aurangabad, Rohtas, Buxar, Nawada, West Champaran, Samastipur, Lakhisarai, Begusarai, Vaishali and Saran districts from today till June 19. So far, the police have caught 142 miscreants.
One person has also died in Lakhisarai, Bihar. According to local media, the person died during the arson in the Vikramshila Express. The deceased was present in the train and came under fire. Earlier, a death was also reported from Telangana. Furious people set fire to Secunderabad station.
Violent protests continue across the country for the third day. There are reports of maximum violence and arson from Bihar. In Bihar, protesters torched trains. Railway tracks and roads were blocked at many places. So far more than 200 trains have been disrupted due to the protest against Agneepath. 35 trains have been cancelled. At the same time, 13 have been eliminated at a short distance.
Let us inform that the students are taking to the streets in protest against the new scheme brought for army recruitment. There is a protest against the Agneepath scheme across the country. Amidst the ruckus over the Agneepath plan, Army Chief General Manoj Pandey said that the recruitment process of Agniveers is going to start soon. Notification will be issued within next 2 days. At the same time, the Chief of the Indian Air Force, Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhary said – the recruitment process for the Air Force will start from June 24.
