In the UP assembly elections, the number of SP MLAs has increased from 47 to 111 and if the number of MLAs of its allies is added, then this figure increases to 125. But the party has become weak in the Legislative Council.
Samajwadi Party (Samajwadi Party) is soon going to get a setback from the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council to the Rajya Sabha and due to this, the national level status of the party may be reduced. Even though the number of members in the Vidhan Sabha has increased, but the strength of the Rajya Sabha to the Legislative Council is going to decrease. Where in the Legislative Council, the chair of the Leader of the Opposition can go from the hands of the SP. Whereas the Rajya Sabha (Rajya Sabha) in the SP may lose the chairmanship of the committee.. due to which the party will suffer in national politics. All this is happening when recently two members have been elected to the Rajya Sabha with the support of SP. In fact, due to Kapil Sibal being an independent and Jayant Chaudhary being a RLD, SP will not get the benefit of it. Due to which the number of its members in the Rajya Sabha will remain only three. Political experts say that at present the SP (SP) is passing through its worst phase in central politics.
In fact, the number of SP MLAs has increased from 47 to 111 in the UP assembly elections. If the number of MLAs of allies is added, then this figure increases to 125. But the party has become weak in the Legislative Council and after losing 33 seats in the elections to the authority constituency, the SP was left with only 17 MLCs. Whereas the term of six members of SP ended last month and the term of six other members is being completed next month. After which only nine members of SP will be left in the Legislative Council. While the strength of the SP in the council will be less, now the chair of the Leader of Opposition can also come out of its hands. According to the rules, for the post of Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council, it is necessary for any party to have 10 MLCs. At present, Lal Bihari Yadav is the Leader of the Opposition. But the danger on this chair may increase next month and under the rules, SP may have to leave this chair.
The chair of the chairman of the committee can be snatched
The SP has five members in the Rajya Sabha and out of which the term of three members is expiring in July. But despite sending three members to the Rajya Sabha, only one Rajya Sabha member will be added to the account of SP. Because with Kapil Sibal being an independent member and Jayant Chaudhary being from the Rashtriya Lok Dal, the SP will not get any help. In such a situation, only three members of the SP will be in the Rajya Sabha. SP’s Prof Ram Gopal Yadav, Jaya Bachchan and Javed Ali will be members in the Rajya Sabha. In such a situation, the chair of the chairman of the committee can be removed from the hands of the SP. Because it is necessary to have five Rajya Sabha members for the chairman of the committee.
Three members each in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha
SP’s national general secretary Prof Ramgopal is the chairman of the Rajya Sabha’s Health and Family Welfare Committee and due to the small number of members in the Rajya Sabha, the responsibility of the chair can be taken away from him. The chairman of the committee gets the office and the staff. But due to less than five members in the Rajya Sabha, now there is a crisis in the chair of the Speaker. Along with this, the SP also has three members in the Lok Sabha. In such a situation, it is necessary for the SP to win Azamgarh and Rampur seats. So that its power remains in the Lok Sabha as well. If the SP gets its hands on both these seats, then the national level record can be in danger.
