Patna: Sadhu Yadav, brother-in-law of Lalu Yadav, has been sentenced to 3 years in prison. The MPMLA court on Monday sentenced Sadhu Yadav, brother-in-law of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav and former MLA, to three years’ imprisonment and a fine of Rs 16,000. Sadhu Yadav has been punished for entering the government office and misbehaving with the officials of the Transport Department.
Sadhu Yadav has been fined Rs 5000. Failure to pay the fine will result in additional imprisonment of one month. At the same time, the advocate of Sadhu Yadav has told that the former MLA will file a petition with provisional bail.
Once upon a time Sadhu Yadav used to speak in Bihar. He had power in Bihar during Lalu-Rabri Raj. But after the relationship with brother-in-law and sister deteriorated, he came to the floor in politics. During the rule of Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi in Bihar, Anirudh Yadav alias Sadhu Yadav, brother of Rabri Devi and brother-in-law of Lalu, had a big position. He was considered special of Lalu Yadav.
In the 2004 Lok Sabha elections, Sadhu Yadav also became an MP from Gopalganj seat on RJD ticket. Along with this, Lalu also promoted his second brother-in-law Subhash Yadav in politics. But after Tejashwi and Tej Pratap entered politics, Sadhu Yadav was put on the side line. Sadhu Yadav has shown the attitude of rebellion against the Lalu family on many occasions.
