New Delhi: A man has volunteered his Ola electric scooter after incidents of electric scooters caught fire in Tamil Nadu. (Ola Electric Scooter) A surprising case of setting fire has come to light.
According to reports, Prithviraj, a resident of Tirupattur in Tamil Nadu, allegedly set his newly launched scooter on fire due to a scooter malfunction and allegedly not providing proper solution by the company’s customer care.
According to the information, Prithviraj, who runs an ortho and neuro clinic near Ambur, had recently bought an Ola e-scooter. In a video going viral, Prithviraj said that though there is a vehicle registration office nearby, Ola officials asked him to go to Gudiyattam, which is about 50 kms away, to register the scooter.
According to him, the Gudiyattam RTO refused to register the bike claiming that Prithviraj’s residence does not come under the purview of the RTO. But his troubles did not end there.
His bike reportedly stopped working midway, leaving Prithviraj stuck on the road. According to him, despite informing the service center, no help reached for two hours. As a result, this entire incident worked to increase Prithviraj’s anger and he set it on fire by spraying petrol on the electric scooter.
